It’s been a while, dear readers, and it’s time to bring y’all up to date!
Of course, Covid has slowed sales some. Not horribly, but noticeably so. Some of our customers have seen a marked decrease in patronage. Stop in to your favorite purveyor of premium craft beer and say hello; wish them well. Maybe grab a bite and a little something to drink, while you’re there. 🙂
Naturally, we all hope that you and yours are staying healthy, too!
So, if we’re not selling as much beer, what’s keeping us so busy, you might ask — good question! Well before Covid, we’d been working on a plan and exploring options for opening a taproom. For the past several months, we’ve been fairly active in searching, screening and viewing potential locations, as well as extending & revising the business plan, working on the employee manual and similar preparations. And, of course, making beer, organizing and cleaning things! (That reminds me, I need to set aside a keg-cleaning day, again!)
Right at this moment, there’s not a lot to tell. We’re making progress, we’re down to our short-list and we’re hopeful about landing a super-sweet location and start building soon. (We’d made an offer on a nice property earlier, but that ended up not working out. Our current #1 choice looks promising!)
I promise to post more information (and pix!) as soon as we land a place. (It is my intention to document the entire process, once building-out begins!) Until then…
Stay friendly, my thirsts!
